Xbox Series X Restock: Trackers, Dates and Alerts

Xbox Series X Restock: Trackers, Dates and Alerts

If you're after an Xbox Series X restock, you know how hard they are to find. While the all-inclusive Xbox All Access program – the official monthly subscription service alternative to paying $499 for the console – the standalone, no-string-attached console remains tricky to find. The good news is that the Xbox Series X gaming console is now live on Microsoft’s website. Meanwhile, Xbox Series S – the less powerful version – can be purchased at several stores. If you're among those eagerly looking forward to Xbox Series X restocks, then keep reading. We are tracking Xbox Series X restocks at all major stores and bringing you updated news.

Where to Buy Xbox Series X

In recent weeks, the Xbox Series X situation had started to pick up momentum, with retailers restocking the console. Hopefully, this continues in the next coming weeks.

However, with the chip shortages continuing to affect the production of the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, some people have been turning to third parties to buy a console. To avoid getting scammed, consider buying your console through a service like eBay or StockX since they offer a layer of customer protection to ensure legitimate transactions.

To date, there have been no official announcements about the next Xbox Series X restock, but as you are aware, surprise restocks happen every time.

Xbox Series X Now Available from Microsoft

Microsoft recently started sending out Xbox Series X restock invitations. However, the process appears to be a random draw, and there’s currently no way to register.

If you're in the UK, the Xbox Series X has just become available to purchase directly from Microsoft’s website. It still goes for the same price of $499 and is limited to one console per customer. So, hurry while stocks last.

Where Xbox Series X Has Been Recently

We keep track of Xbox Series X restock and bring you the latest news about their availability. Here’s a list of when the console was last in stock in stores:

  • Best Buy: December 22, 28, January 11

The latest rumors show that Amazon may be restocking its Xbox Series X consoles as soon as today. The giant online retailer hasn’t restocked one of the best gaming consoles in the market since December when it surprised customers with one of the biggest and longest-lasting restocks ever.

The retailer is predicted to bring in new PS5 stock this week, and we are hoping that a fresh Xbox Series X stock will follow.

What Are Your Options

Currently, the Xbox Series X isn’t available to purchase standalone. The last restock happened weeks ago, and it's back to waiting for fresh stock. However, you can still opt for the Xbox All Access courtesy of Microsoft.

You’ll need to pay monthly installments of $35 for two years. As we mentioned, Microsoft is sending the Xbox Series X invitations to random users, so keep checking your email.

Additionally, there are several ways to improve your chances of landing an Xbox Series X gaming console:

  • Set up an account to be ready to make the purchase on the site of your choice as soon as they are available. The time it takes to enter your payment credentials, and shipping information can make the difference between being lucky or going back to the waiting spot.

  • Be on the lookout always. Some retailers are known to release the consoles over the course of 30 minutes, so they can prevent bots from buying them all and reselling them. So, even if the consoles are sold out within five minutes, keep refreshing your browser. They might be releasing another batch in a few minutes.

  • Follow a few Twitter accounts that track Xbox Series X restocks to get the latest updates right on your mobile. Some of the most reliable Twitter tracker accounts include Wario64 and Xbox Series X|S Stock Alerts. Walmart is particularly known to announce availability windows for Xbox and PS5 on its Twitter feed.

  • Follow all major retailers on Twitter. This might give you an edge over other people, especially if they happen to announce restock time via their Twitter accounts.

If you really can't wait for the restock, you can check out StockX, a site that operates like eBay, where you can buy and sell new PS5 and Xbox models – as long as you're willing to fork an extra $200.
